There are lots of small fish just about everywhere. I have yet to catch anything of any size but I haven't been fishing very much at all. My first trip will be May 24 th this year, last year the first was the 19 th. I am not real thrilled about charging folks $400 bucks to catch the same size fish they could catch off any Cape shoreline at this time of year. I prefer to absolutely make your jaw hang open in amazement at the fishing we have in late June, July, August, and September. My freind Rob left a note on my truck on Mother's day saying that he had caught a 42 and a 40 inch fish that weekend. If I know Rob, it was on the live herring and probably on the Bayside of the Cape. There are plenty of Mackeral just outside of Wellfleet harbor. A lot of fun could be had catching some for dinner and some for bait. I will have an updated fishing report soon on what Judge Gladys Kessler's recent decision means to the recreational and charterboat cod fishing fleet. From what information I have there will be different regulations for the Gulf of Maine (Stellwagon area) than from Georges Bank (where I fish). Bruce
