Well its about time we had some of this good fishing. On Wednesday, second grader Jenny Malina was fishing with her Daddy when she caught a 43 inch striper on 14 pound test line. The fish weighed 29 pounds ! The weather was foggy and at times a heavy mist was falling causing all of us on the boat to have a damp look to us. It was not windy though and it never rained, so we had a good day. The weather man has a negative attitude lately with hugely widespread reports of scattered showers and thunderstorms. It seems its raining from New York to Canada. I had a customer call me at 4:10 am yesterday to ask if we were going out on the charter scheduled at 6:30. He eventually cancelled even after I explained that there was no wind forecast and it would be finme for the trip weatherwise. So I slept in yesterday. The weather turned out to be great with no wind and no rain. The fishing on that day was the best we have had all summer. The guy that cancelled missed out !! The afternoon trip was Leo Sullivan's group. We arrived to the close spot and Paul caught a 40 inch bass on the first cast ! We fished there for about an hour waiting for the tide to get runing and then moved off to fish in the rips to the southeast. We caught 33 to 38 inch bass on every drift for the next 5 hours ! We kept two and threw the rest back. It turned out to be a fantastic day, even though the weather man was forecasting for another part of the world it seemed. I hope to see you and "bring the raingear" !GoodFishing Bruce
