Finally !!!It appears winter is finally over ! Schoolies are being caught regularly now on the Nantucket Sound side of the Cape. Bass River, Cotuit, Red River Beach all are producing small stripers. Yesterday one was caught in Meeting House River in Orleans, meaning that they are starting to head into Pleasant Bay, a real hotspot. I also heard of some being caught off the Mitchell River Bridge in Chatham. Get your jig heads and small grub tails out, white and chartruese always seems to work well for me. On a little trout rod and 6 - 8 pound test you can cast far and have fun with these small fish. Since you will be catching them in the hundreds, bend the barbs down so we hurt less of these fish that we love so dearly. Good Fishing ( catching ), Bruce
