Hi Everybody, Not much happening on the waters lately, as it is still cold out. I did overhear someone at my Hook Association meeting the other day tell something to another about some small bass being caught. I picked up on it when I heard them say "Don't tell Bruce, he'll go catch them"! I smiled and kept doing what I was doing, but still listened a little when I could. I still only heard the question " maybe they were holdbacks" ? I did talk to one fellow captain that also does cod charters, who told me that he has been cancelling his trips because he hasn't been able to do anything for his folks. He also told me that the big boat Helen H has been going all the way around the Cape towards Gloucester to find some fish and that they weren't doing all that well either. I think that maybe soon we will be catching haddock off the Cape though. They haddock recovery is going well. Charter bookings also have been going well. Over 60 charters have been booked for the upcoming season so far. If you are wanting to go and you know when you are going to be vacationiong here, make the reservation ahead. Why take a chance on having someone else book the day that you wanted, only because you waited to long. Besides, the ones that book early get to select the time of day they want to leave and the tide that may be best for the fishing. If you are interested in a trip or just want to make sure the reservation is on the books, give me a call ( 508 255-0911) or send me an email.(bruce@sportfishingcapecod.com)Thanks very much,
Bruce
