Well there are schoolies in Pleasant Bay and Nauset Estuary. There have been some caught at River Road and Meetinghouse Pond in the 15 to 18 inch range. Now that we have had the two or three days of sun that we needed, they should show up in force in the next two weeks. When I am targeting these small fish I will use a little trout rod with 6 or 8 pound test line. The light line helps to cast a small 1/4 to 3/8 ounce round jig-head to the fish. I like the small curly tail plastic grub on the back of the jig. A lime green or chartruese color works very well. Remenmber to bend the barb down as you are likely to release 50 or more fish in a day. My friend Kurt tells me that the squid have shown up yeaterday in his traps, and the Mackeral should be a couple orf days behind.Good fishing! and Have Fun !
