Hello All, Not much going on in the fishing world these days. It seems to be blowing 25 knots every day. I guess thats why the price of cod is up around 3-4 dollars a pound. I still have the Miss Jillian on the mooring in Chatham, hoping to get one last cod trip in. Its not looking real good though, (it is February after all). I would like to catch a box and freeze up some of those beautiful fillets. I have a freind in Kansas that lets me bowhunt his farm that I would love to Fed EX some fillets to. Their idea of fresh fish is fillets of largemouth bass or catfish from the farm pond or the river. They then soak the fish in salted water for a day to remove the muddy taste. Aren't we so lucky to have fish that we don't have to pre-soak ?
I did stumble across a little gold mine the day before yesterday, in the form of 2 bushels of Cape Bay scallops that I picked up in Little Pleasant Bay. I have them all shucked and nicely tucked away in my freezer. Now you know what I will be snacking on during the Super Bowl ! Go Patriots ! By the way do you think Rush Limbaugh still believes Donavan McNabb is overrated ??
I have been sending out quite a few T shirts lately. So much in fact, that I am almost out of the L size, and need to reorder. Its the time of the year when the reservations for the upcoming season are coming in with increasing frequency. As soon as I can get to Cape Cod Computer Wholesalers to update the site home page with some pictures of Kathy's huge bass, (see the archived report ) then the reservations will pick up even further !
Have a Great Day!
