Hi Folks,If you have already booked a charter with me for this season, please read this as it may affect your fishing trip.
This year, because of all the winter and spring Nor'easter storm activity, the entrance to Chatham Harbor is shallower than usual. This means that at dead low water the entrance may be too shallow to allow larger boats in and out. Extremes in tide range will vary the amount of time before and after dead low we can still pass, but to be on the safe side I am going to adjust the start and end times of most of the charters that will be affected. I will contact you individually, but I am offering a list of the affected trips here as well. Most of these trips will only be adjusted about an hour or so, but I understand that may create further problems and possible rescheduling as well. Here is the list of affected trips to date:
Trips in June: June 25, 27, 28 29
Trips in July: July 1, 2, 6, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 31
Trips in August: August 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24,
Trips in September September 3, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13,
I hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience, but I suppose it is less of a problem than the embarrassment to the Marilyn S than showing her bottom to every boat that passes as we sit stranded on a sandbar with an ebbing tide. Thanks, Bruce and Marilyn S
