I noticed that there are gulls sitting on the banks of the Cedar Pond stream in the salt marsh at Rock Harbor. I see them outside the entrance to the herring run in Chatham too. To me that indicates that there are a few herring starting to migrate back to the fresh ponds to spawn. The bass wont be very far behind them ! I have not heard of anything real reliable, but I have been quite busy too. I would expect that the south facing beaches in the Cotuit area to soon start producing some decent fresh schoolies. Then Red River Beach in Harwich and Bass River in Yarmouth. Since we have had a few cloudy days the catches might be off. But as soon as the sun comes out, go down to your old standby spring spots and see if you can't catch a few nice schoolies.
Good Luck and Good Fishing,
Bruce
