Thats all that needs to be said. Our Chatham Bass fishing is just that, RED HOT ! When the entire Massachusetts striped bass quota is caught just 2 miles away from my harbor, there is a reason. The reason is we have cold water and a great bait supply. Stand by for my opinion and rant on the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries' MISMANAGEMENT of the commercial striped bass fishery in a later report !
As a result Chatham charter boats are in higher demand than boats fishing hotter waters. I am booked quite solidly with only an occasional opening for the next 3 weeks. If you want to participate in this great fishing action please make sure to call me in advance.
Tuna fishing is also productive, yet not so "On Fire" as the bass fishing. We had 3 hookups yesterday, breaking off two really nice 75" class fish and landing one of the smaller ones. The one we landed was 61" and shows that there are some smaller and younger year classes moving into our area. I do have many trips already booked, but latter August and much of September has some very good days left. It is best to reserve in advance. Oh yeah, I have a party of two (Shaw) for September 3 that is looking for another couple to share the costs of a 10 hour tuna charter. Please email me if you are interested.
Hope to see you,
Capt. Bruce & "Marilyn S"
