I just got an email from a customer in Texas that had booked 3 days of September 16, 17, and 18. One of his buddies has gotten a stroke and together with his fears of weather issues, he has opted to cancel his trip to Cape Cod. So that means we currently have those 3 days open for September bluefin fishing that were previously booked. If I can book any of the days he had reserved I will send him back his deposit for the days that are rebooked. (Thats just how I roll.)
As for the weather report, both models tracking the paths of the hurricanes of Irma and Jose are projected to not impact us. The NOAA coastal forecast for Saturday 9/16 and Sunday 9/17 is for light winds and seas. Monday 9/18 may be too far out to predict as yet.
Yesterday's bass charter had us limited out in 1.5 hours with stripers ranging from 35 to 43 inches. The day before we did not get a bluefin on our 10 hour charter, but several bluefin were caught that day ranging from 54" to 113". A nice 83" bluefin (260-70 lbs) was caught yesterday right on the same numbers I was fishing the day before ! There is vast schools of Mackerel just offshore from Chatham attracting these speedy powerful gamefish.
Give me a call at 508 237-0399 and lets get you onto one of them, or some of the great shoulder season striped bass fishing !
Good Fishing to You,
