We are now booking fishing charters with responsible Covid virus restrictions. The striped bass have shown in the rips in a big way. There are literally tons of fish in the area. The birds wheeling and diving and the bass breaking the surface of the water as they feed are a sight to behold.I was out yesterday on a scouting mission, and caught fish on every rip I stopped on. I have always started my striper charters after Father's Day to be sure of consistent action in my area for paying customers. I know other areas get the fish earlier, but the rips and the Chatham waters are cooler and it takes a bit more time each spring for us to get good consistent fishing. The up side of that is in the latter summer doldrums when those early producing areas are getting water temperatures that are too hot to hold stripers, we are in our prime fish producing time of the year.
Soon, we will be splitting our charters between stripers and bluefin tuna. If you are interested in booking a trip with Capt. Bruce and Capeshores Charters, just send me an email to bruce@sportfishingcapecod.com, and tell me what it is you would like to do. I will do my absolute best to make that happen for you and your group. Keep in mind that some days are better than others due to tide, moon phase and boat traffic and effort. The best days get reserved in advance by folks in the know. Be one of them.
Thanks very much,
Cant. Bruce & "Marilyn S"
