Hi Folks, Again I was out fishing and all I could catch was small schoolie stripers. It has been blowing from the southwest hard for the last three days, keeping me in Pleasant Bay. Yesterday's charter was such poor fishing with the wind and lack of a decent sized fish I cancelled my scheduled afternoon trip and asked them to come on Wednsday afternoon instead. Hopefully by then the winds will have subsided and I can get out to the west side of Monomoy to look around. I am hoping the winds have stirred things up and maybe moved some decent fish into our area. I do know that there are good fish in Cape Cod Bay. Other captains tell of limits there quite regularly. I suppose its ok if you dont mind fishing with telephone poles and cable. (Do you detect a slight resentment there?) I also know that there are fish south of Nantucket in the rips there. But with a two hour run to the spot each way, and the cost of fuel at the boat dock, it doesn'tmake much sense. I have heard of fish at the rip at MV's Wasque shoals as well, with squid being chased out of the water by the stripers. Thats what I want to see at Bears'es !! I guess we will see what the day brings tomorrow as I have two charters then and two for Thursday as well. I will tell you this much, I am getting tired of catching schoolies this late in June !!!!Thanks for letting me VENT !
Bruce
