Hi Folks,
All last week we were on the bluefin with catches from 2-5 nice 100 pound fish per day. We did lose a fish (our only one of that day) right next to the boat on last Friday's charter that disapointed us all. This week in spite of the full moon, the fish have been on the bite. Boats are catching up to 8 or 10 fish on a trip ! The area is still southwest of the "BC" bouy, but the Regal Sword area is now producing as well. It seems the standard dawn, times of slack water and dusk bites are when it happens. The whale and bait show is still unbelievable. Come out to see what all the exitement is all about.
The striper fishing has been short of previous year's averages, but my methods of using fresh bait and light tackle are getting me my limits at the Rips of Monomoy. Some days are mixed with both big and small fish and others, like today the fish are all from the 32 and 33 inch cookie cutter. Thats the best eating size anyway !!!
